Discover Abu Simbel Temple
Abu Simbel is one of Egypt’s most dramatic ancient sites, created during the reign of Ramesses II and carved directly into the sandstone cliffs of southern Egypt. The complex is especially famous for the scale of its façades and the way architecture, sculpture and desert setting work together.
The magnet shows the Great Temple from the front, with the four colossal seated statues of Ramesses II flanking the entrance. Their immense scale dominates the image and makes the human doorway at the centre appear almost miniature.
Inside the temples, reliefs and chambers continue the story beyond the monumental exterior, while the modern relocation of the entire complex above the rising waters of Lake Nasser adds another remarkable chapter to the site’s history.
This Abu Simbel fridge magnet keeps the colossal façade as the central memory of the visit. Adding your year or a short personal message can link the image to the day you stood in front of one of ancient Egypt’s most imposing monuments.
