Discover Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses

Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in north-eastern Brazil is famous for a vast field of pale coastal dunes that fills seasonally with freshwater lagoons. The landscape can look almost desert-like, yet the presence of water between the dunes makes it fundamentally different from a true desert.
